Prof Betsey
Dear Sir

My brother [?] to be west
when your favor reached here & according to your
suggestion he will go to Lincoln and see you
about the specimen personally. He speaks English imperfectly
having acquired what he knows of the language
since his visit to the country, but he
is able to unerstand and make himself understood
very well. He speaks German and
Slavic. He intends leaving here on Tuesday morning
over the [Bay?], and if you can spare him the
time at once, will endeavor to return via
some r. r. in the evening. Please show him
the workings of an American university, as he,
being a student at one in Europe, will be especially
[interested?].
