plants, very small specimens
indeed of either species, occupy
an area not greater than
10 x 20 feet. The plants are
evidently the last of their race,
pushing about amid mosses
rocks & roots in a feeble
way, the two species side
by side, but neither exhibiting
fruit. Last summer's drought almost
proved fatal and I found
but a few springs green &
containing promise of life
for another year.
With kindest regards
Yours sinverely
