I do not see how the
thing escaped me.

This is not the only
nonsense that I have recd.
from the same source,
but I have stopped it,
but this slipped through.
I believe the only way will
be to do as you suggest,
drop the editor of that
department. Packard has
done no proof reading lately
so far as I can see.

We go to New York, &
everything will be better.
