My dear Prof.

Thanks for the
copy of your address which I
read with great care. It pleased
me in every way, especially in
the [vision?] and lucidity with
which your views are stated.
Moreover those views are right,
because, sensible and realizable
– and there is every
thing in that. Thanks also
for your last Catalogue,
which I take it, is just now
issued. The marginal [?]ings
make it quite plain
that you are moving there
is an atmosphere of [?]
that your curriculum ties
up the industries in a sort
of vital system with learning
at the heart of it, when
"learning links with labor,
to help the [natives?] rise." That
place of things is fascinating
