My dear Professor

I have been waiting
with all due patience for some weeks
for the time to come when this Nebraska
Legislation might have done so much
of its work as one could reasonably expect
and duly adjourned. Believing
that time has come I venture to
address the inquiry to you, did that
body fulfil the wishes of the regents
of the University with respect to
appropriations for their wishes & plans
or did it fall far short of its duty?
