"Buffalo Bill" a Bad Bill.

The performance of the Bull Buffalo troupe at the Academy of Music was atrociously poor. To add to this they perpetrated the swindle of claiming all the lower part of the house as "reserved" and charging a dollar admission to all but the gallery. We advise these "border ruffians" not to come to Oil City again. They may get scalped. We'll set Little Brave Farlong and Dead Bear Fry after them if they try any more of their Texas tricks around here. Texas Jack is too big a knave for us.

"BUFFALO BILL" - Ned Buatline has been creating a sensation in all the surrounding cities where he appeared, and has played nightly to crowded houses. Rubenstein, the great pianist, attended his matinee in Pittsburgh last Saturday. Morlacchi, the celebrated danseuse, is one of the attractions. From the Cincinnati Times we copy the appended critique:

"Buffalo Bill or perhaps we should write Mr. Cody, lacks nothing to make his part the more effective. His manner is that of Cody and none other. His little speech last evening, in answer to the terrific call before the curtain, was in itself characteristic of his whole style of acting. Col. Judson and Texas Jack were also the recipients of many favors from their auditors. Little Morlacchi, who leads the premiers of the ballet, is simple but electrical in her acting. For a sensational play of blood, scalps, and whooping Indians, 'The Scouts of the Prairie' answers every purpose."

This company will perform at the Opera House this evening. "Your presence is solicited."

BUFFALO BILL- Notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather last evening, a large audience gathered at the Opera House to see the latest sensational sensation, doubly boiled down and crystalized. As a picture of romantic Indian life, of perilous situations and hair-breadth escapes, of poetical rhapsodies and thrilling tableaux, it was certainly most entertaining. The house applauded often and loudly, to which the actors obligingly responded with changed tableaux. On the whole, we think nobody left the hall last night without the feeling that he had received more than his money's worth of enjoyment.
